Where the Name Came From

The B Was for the Phone Book

Jeremy’s uncle ran a moving company back when the phone book was the whole internet, and the name you picked decided whether anybody found you. Jeremy learned the trade from him and, when he started his own in 2014, picked Bird Dog for the same reason: it put him near the front of the B’s.

That was the tail end of that era, but the name did something the phone book never did. It stuck to the man. Most of Oklahoma City has called him Bird Dog ever since, and the number on the side of the truck is the phone in his pocket.
