What Happens at the Door
We Say Hello, Look It Over, and Get to Work
Bird Dog’s crew pulls up on time, and that is when the clock starts. They say hello, ask where it is going and what is coming, and look it over while you talk. Then they get to work, because it is your time.
Blankets on the furniture, straps on the load, dollies for the heavy stuff. At the other end, everything lands in the room you point to, not in a pile by the door.
If a piece will not clear the door, it goes through a window or another way in. If it has to come apart, we agree on that in writing before anyone picks up a screwdriver. Taking furniture apart and putting it back together is real time on the clock, so it is something you ask for ahead, not something we assume.

We take downsizing and senior moves: a parent moving closer to family, a long-time house traded for a smaller one, a move into a retirement community or assisted living.
The part that helps most happens before the truck. Sort what is going, what is staying with family, and what is being given away, and label it. Keep the medication, the paperwork, the glasses, the chargers, and a first-night bag out of the truck entirely.
Tell Bird Dog who the contact is on the day, and what should land where at the new place: the bed in the right room, the chair by the window, the kitchen boxes in the kitchen. Placement is part of the job, not a favor.

Local moves start at $315, which includes two movers for the two-hour minimum and the one-time $75 fuel and travel charge, before tax. After that it is $120 an hour for two, and $60 an hour for each mover you add.
A two-bedroom house is usually a three-mover job. The pricing page has the crews, the numbers, a calculator, and a Tuesday laid out hour by hour so you can see how the clock works.

When you ask for it ahead, yes. It is real time on the clock, sometimes as much as the move itself, so say which pieces and Bird Dog puts it in the estimate rather than surprising you with it.
The usual things a licensed mover cannot take: anything with fuel in it, anything alive, anything dangerous or illegal. Everything else, ask.
When we pull up to your door. Not when we leave the shop, and not while we drive to you.
